Itinerary

Day 01South Valley - Tipón, Pikillaqta & Andahuaylillas

Noon
We leave in the morning and head towards the South zone of the city, where we will arrive at TIPON, archaeological complex unique in its kind, the most marvelous temple dedicated to water, an exceptional engineering work worked by the Inkas. We continue very close to the Huacarpay lagoon, famous for its biodiversity and quantity of birds, and then arrive at PIKILLAQTA, an impressive citadel built with stones and mud that is attributed to the pre-Inka culture “Wari”. We continue to Andahuaylillas, typical Andean village where we find giant Pisonay trees and a very peaceful square in whose main part is one of the most important Hispanic monuments of the region, such as the “Sistine Chapel of America”, an old church of the century XVII, with impressive altarpieces, monumental paintings, wood carvings, the ceiling covered in its totality with paintings of the time where the gold leaf stands out in all its dimension. It has an altar and a majestic choir with one of the oldest organs of South America and with which the celebration of the masses of the people is accompanied. Return to the hotel
