Trujillo & Chiclayo Home Stay.

The tour begins with a visit to the amazing Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the center of power in the Trujillo Valley during the Moche times. You can see the impressive group of adobe frescoes on the walls of the Temple of the Moon, unearthed by archaeologists. Later visit a traditional family of the Moche Valley, descendant of the Mochica.
Then visit the sensational Arco Iris (Dragon) temple, of the Chimú culture. Continue to Huanchaco, an ancient fishermen’s cove where the old boats called “Caballitos de Totora” will bea appreciated, with which the ancient tradition of artisanal fishing is maintained. Time for lunch in local restaurant and in the afternoon visit to the unmissable citadel of Chan Chan, whose extension is 18 km2 approx. You will enter the Nik-An Palace, located in the southwestern part of Chan Chan, visiting its ceremonial plazas, shrines, reservoirs, granaries and cemetery.

Today we will visit the magnificent adobe platform of Huaca Rajada, where the tomb of the most powerful man of ancient Peru, the Lord of Sipán, was discovered. In its museum you can admire fabulous articles of gold and precious stones, belonging to the ancient Moche civilization. We continue to the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, considered one of the most spectacular in America, which houses the most important Mochica archaeological remains and shows the ornaments and jewels found in the tomb of the Lord of Sipán.
Finally we will say goodbye to this beautiful trip with your transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
