Karajía and Caves of Quiocta
01 Day
(full day, lunch included)
We go to the town of Cruzpata where we will take a walk to see the Karajía Sarcophagi. The figures are 2 meters high, made of a mixture of clay, straw and gravel spread on a wooden structure being empty inside. It is a pear-shaped camera that protected the mummy, which was sitting and wrapped in deer skin.
We continue the trip to the Caves of Quiocta, another natural attraction that is located in the District of Lamud, among the typical vegetation, 20 minutes away. Here you can see the incredible calcareous needles with different shapes and sizes, known as stalactites and stalagmites. In the afternoon, return to Chachapoyas.
